Care Guide

Wool is a natural material, and with a little care, your OZEN Studio bag will keep its shape and colour for many years.

Everyday care

Brush off dust and lint now and then with a soft clothes brush. Avoid rough surfaces, velcro and sharp edges, which can pull at the fibres. Over time, felt can develop small bobbles where it rubs against clothing. This is natural, and they can be removed gently with a fabric shaver or a pair of small scissors.

Cleaning

Spot clean only. Dab marks with a soft cloth dampened with cold water and a drop of mild wool detergent, working from the outside of the stain inwards. Don't rub hard, as this can change the surface of the felt.

Never machine wash or tumble dry your bag. Heat and agitation cause wool to shrink and felt further, which can permanently change its size and shape.

Drying

If your bag gets wet, gently press out excess water with a towel, reshape it and stuff it loosely with paper or a towel. Let it dry at room temperature, away from radiators, direct sunlight and hairdryers.

Storage

Store your bag stuffed with paper or a soft cloth so it keeps its shape, in a breathable cotton bag rather than plastic. Keep it out of direct sunlight to protect the colours. Cedar or lavender in your wardrobe helps keep moths away from wool.

Leather straps

Keep leather straps dry and wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Treat them occasionally with a leather conditioner to keep the leather supple, and store them flat or loosely coiled.
